We went with the President Adams FCC because it's been a compact, and reliable radio that's easy to use. You get features like talkback, automatic squelch control, and a large LCD display that's customizable and easy to read. We added President's HP1 external speaker to make it easier to hear where you are.We've had a Solarcon A99 antenna on the roof of our store for more than 20 years now, and it's still going strong. They come with U-bolts to attach to a mast, but take a look above if you're needing a different way to mount the antenna to your home. You'll also get a 50' coax cable to help get the antenna connected to the rest of the rig.
