The Silver Bullet antennas are ruggedly designed with the range and performance needed for modern vehicles. They're built with their sturdiest fiberglass shaft and utilize a heavier gauge copper wire conductor for improved durability and performance. The stainless steel threaded stud adds extra strength and longer life compared to machined brass typically found by most manufacturers.
The true top-loaded helical design helps get the signal up as high as possible to avoid signal obstruction or reflection from the vehicle. These antennas are multi-banded as well, making them great for semi trucks using a multiplexer system that uses one antenna for both CB radio and FM stereo broadcasts. They're even wound to receive NOAA weather radio stations as well to keep you aware of the conditions in your area.
More From Driver Extreme on their Silver Bullet antennas:
From our experience manufacturing products for the truck industry, we knew it took more than just brute force size and quality parts to produce a great antenna. Other manufacturers might settle for that, but we could not. These antennas had to have MORE surface area to better transmit and receive along with increased power handling and wider bandwidth. We had to get the signal up and over the vehicle, regardless of antenna size, to minimize signal obstruction. The antenna had to remain vertical and rigid, minimizing signal flutter and providing more consistent tuning. We used a heavier gauge copper wire conductor and a TRUE top loaded helical design. We have included multi-band design and weather band coverage without traps that cause signal loss. We used our sturdiest fiberglass shaft available that is manufactured in our U.S. facility. We went BIG in every respect and it paid off!
There’s something else that sets the Silver Bullet apart from the rest of the pack. Silver Bullet antennas tune by hand due to the unique knurled tip design, no tools are required. You simply loosen the locking collar and adjust the stainless tip to fine tune for lowest SWR. Once dialed in, snug the locking collar and GO! Everything remains sealed and holds tight thanks to a nitrile rubber O-ring inside. The use of a stainless steel threaded stud at the base rather than machined brass, assures greater strength and longer life too. The end result is more consistent performance, day in and day out. Performance you can count on when you need it most.

How do you tune Silver Bullet CB antennas?
• For wide band performance, the SWR readings on Channel 1 and 40 should be equal with the lowest reading on Ch. 20. You must calibrate on Ch. 1 and then check the SWR. Repeat this step on Ch. 40.
• If the SWR reading is higher on Ch. 40, the antenna needs to be shortened. Loosen the locking nut on the Silver Bullet tip and lower the tuning tip. Recheck the SWR and adjust the tuning tip as needed to achieve balanced readings on Ch. 1 and 40.
• If the SWR reading is higher on Ch. 1, the antenna needs to be lengthened. Loosen the nut on the Silver Bullet tip and raise the tuning tip. Recheck the SWR and adjust the tuning tip as needed to achieve balanced readings on Ch. 1 and 40.
