What is GMRS and FRS?
GMRS, or General Mobile Radio Service is high performance UHF radio system operating between 462 MHz and 467 MHz, a license is required but is only a matter of paying a fee once per 10 years. FRS, or Family Radio Service is the little brother to GMRS and operates in the same frequency range, but with limited power output.
GMRS mobile and handheld radio
High performance UHF two-way radios are the ideal solution for Farming, Camping, Off-roading and any other situation where you need long range with simple installations. Just plug it in and go! No antenna tuning is required.
Why choose these services over CB?
GMRS and FRS are an alternative to CB radios, and while similar in that they are designed for almost anyone to use as a means to communicate, they offer much easier installation versus a CB system and potentially farther line of sight range.
