The Stryker SR497HPC CB radio comes preloaded sporting all the features of the Stryker SR490HP but now with 110 watts PEP, multi-color display, and built-in SWR meter.
New! The Stryker SR497HPC 10-meter radio has a selectable color changing display where the meter, channel display and rim lighting can all change to red, green, blue, purple, cyan and various shades of these colors. Choose to have the display stay on one color or you can have the display automatically scroll through all of the colors on it's on. Easily switch between static or dynamic color changing.
The new display lights come with another feature we've heard Stryker radio owners asking for, the ability to dim the lights! The Stryker SR497HP 10-meter radio can be set to dim to the point the lights are just barely visible, in fact the new channel LED being utilized in the display does a much better job of being clear but not overly bright.
The large easy to ready SRF/Power meter is a signature quality of the Stryker 497hpc and 447hpc. Easy to read and will flash on and off when high SWR readings are detected. The meter lighting can be set differently from the faceplate backlighting during transmit for any color combination.
By now you should have heard of the Stryker brand and the commitment to excellence Stryker has brought forth. This model does not deviate from the Stryker brand quality you should expect.

Pulled oversized load 16’5” across the country last week from Tacoma Washington to Marcus Iowa had the pole car step out in front of me almost a mile at all times after a few hours the pole car asked me to turn it down because I was blowing out his ears he said compared to everybody else in the convoy Mic Gain was at roughly 12 o’clock and RF Power was at 12 o’clock also it’s freaking loud I built a power cable and powered it directly off of the Trucks Batteries. This thing is a keeper.

I have to say the stryker 497HP is the best radio I've ever known and thanks to the guys at Walcott Iowa CB shop I had to have my radio rebuilt twice at each time they fixed it and I mean absolutely BLEW my mind at 1 point time one night I was picking up 35 miles and they were hearing me loud clear I recommend anyone anyone if you can't come to the Walcott CB shop mail your CB in or order from

I have owned this radio for two years now, and it's the best one I ever used.
I use an Astatic mic with it, a Stryker SR-A10 antenna, and a Diamond
SX-200 SWR/POWER meter.
The radio has started making a noise occasionally, like the sound of a fan
that isn't working properly. I will probably bring it in and get it checked if
I can get some time!!

very few issuesstock mic isnt great definitely need to upgrade at purchaselove the radio , great sound quality, great features ,packs a punch ,and very easy to install.

Over 100 watts and still draws less than 20 amps means no direct to battery power connection. Cool looking and reliable too.No SWR meter or frequency counter are the only limiting features.I can\'t say enough good things about the Stryker 497 HPC. It\'s loud as heck and holds up well. Add a cool, selectable color display to the mix and you\'ve got one excellent radio.
